Company Overview

Spinning Globe is an exciting new travel tech start up company based in Farringdon, London. We’re looking to expand our editorial team and have two new content writers join our fun, friendly and talented team.

Spinning Globe is a unique, first of its kind travel website integrating both the consumer and travel trade under one roof. We aim to take the hassle out of travel planning for consumers whilst providing the travel industry with insights to improve their business strategies. There are four key elements to our business:

1. A unique & inspirational travel search engine, filled with rich content, that truly personalises the consumer’s travel planning and booking experience

 2. An affordable marketing platform for tourism boards, and their partners, that provides a 365 day a year marketing channel

3. SG Insights delivers a live, real-time data dashboard, analysis and reporting 24/7, 365 days a year; a first for the travel industry

4. VFam Powered by Spinning Globe is an innovative new e-learning platform that uniquely trains travel agents using the traditional ‘fam trip’ model but in the most colourful, fun and engaging way yet. This revolutionary approach to travel agent training allows agents to learn as they sell and can visit a destination, as they would on a Fam, virtually from the comfort of their desk or tablet.

We’re a year-old company, officially launching to consumers in January 2018. As the business expands so will opportunities for employees who are committed to joining us on this exciting journey.

Department Overview

A start-up company, we are currently a small team of four including our Founder, Head of Commercial, Head of Marketing and Operations Manager. To date we have been working with freelance travel writers but we are now looking to build a new, permanent editorial team to work together from our London office. The editorial team will be responsible for the researching, writing, editing and upkeep of all content on Spinning Globe as well as supporting the VFam e-learning platform and contributing to the B2C social media plan. You will report to the Head of Marketing and work closely with our Operations Manager.

Our Editorial Voice

The new destination for travel inspiration, Spinning Globe offers informative and authoritative travel advice - carefully sourced and presented in an accessible, easy-to-navigate way. Our trusted content is expertly researched and verified by our team of professional writers and bloggers. We provide curated suggestions for consumers to plan the perfect holiday, plus a little extra: most recommendations come with Our Spin, that little bit of insider information that guarantees you know everything you need to make an informed decision.
